Giresun Island Tour

Giresun Island is one of the two islands located in the Black Sea along with Kefken Island. Giresun Island is 1.6 km from the coast and has an area of 40.000 square meters. There are 71 species of natural herbaceous and woody plant species in the island, especially Mediterranean Acacia and Liar Acasya mast. Later on, 10 more tree species were added. In the Black Sea, the island where the cormorant and martens naturally multiply is also the place for frequent and resting migratory birds. There are many remains of mythological ages in the island where many of the myths are described, about the Amazon and many peoples. Second degree is the site area. During the summer season, the island, which is the center of interest of local and foreign tourists, is visited on a daily basis for a picnic.

Giresun Castle

Giresun Castle is located on the town's dominant hill of the half island in the north of the city. The remains of the fortress that come to the present day are the central tower and the southern fortified walls. The section made of large rectangular block stones at the base of the fortification walls gives the impression that the fortifications and fortress go as far as the Hellenistic and Roman Periods.
